Holy Guacamole!

Guacamole is one of my favorite foods to eat.  I eat it just about every day, no exaggeration. I usually just mash an avocado and add a little lime juice and kosher salt. But some times I like to get a bit fancy.  Here is my special guacamole recipe.

Guacamole

2 ripe avocados, pitted
1/4 red onion chopped
1 tbs cilantro chopped
2 tbs lime juice (or more to taste)
1/2 tsp salt (or more to taste)

  • Mash avocados
  • When chopping the onion and cilantro, chop until it is almost minced.
  • Add all the rest of the ingredients
  • Enjoy!
There are tons of guacamole recipes out there.  I have found the fewer ingredients the better it tastes. Simplicity is the key for a delicious guacamole.

I agree- less is more when it comes to guac. I like to go the super lazy route and use premade pico de gallo. Pico, avocados, (sometimes a bit of smashed garlic) and presto! Guac is done.

  2. @The Mad Mex That sounds tasty! Especially the garlic. I will have to try that next time.
